As Dubai’s real estate industry grew to post the introduction of freehold ownership laws in 2002, it became evident to Realpoint's founders that in the maturing market, there was going to be a growing need for independent expert advice and services.
Following the introduction of Dubai’s Escrow Law in 2007 came the opportunity to provide independent project monitoring to protect investors. To support this in 2008 the business was established (then called Screampoint Property Observer) with its office based in Dubai, UAE. Then work exclusively with Dubai’s Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA) to independently monitor and track construction progress and to provide technical expertise to Escrow development projects.

As part of this RERA commission, Realpoint developed one of the region's first 5D Digital City platforms for managing inspections, client reporting, and providing analysis and visualization of the large amounts of information obtained during our property inspections.
